Between Victorian and Georgian terraces, the independent boutique shops along Amwell Street is what keeps its village-like community alive. It's a quiet residential enclave in the centre of creative Clerkenwell, and even has its own residents' association which supports local businesses. This former design showroom with a pretty white storefront and distressed papered walls (curated by wallpaper designers, Blackpop) is entirely for rent as an elegant retail space.

Weekday lunchtimes and weekends are busiest with discerning residents moving in between the flower shop, vintage boutique and the old school Myddeltons deli. It's more of a daytime street, but weekday young professionals often use it in the evenings to get to and from the busy Pentonville Road (on the way to King's Cross station) and the restaurants and bars along Exmouth Market.
Amwell Street is highly residential, but you're in a retail stretch surrounded by other key independent boutiques. You're in good company between Pennies Vintage, for one-of-a-kind pieces, and Quill London which sells designer stationary. Opposite, Paula Pryke Flowers is owned by a world renowned florist. A few doors down, Andrea Hawkes is a bespoke destination for bridal wear.
Amwell Street is a sweet and quiet residential street, but work the crowd right and you'll get to know the local residents and business owners well.
