As the hip eateries, bars and boutiques overflow from neighbouring Shoreditch and Hackney, Bethnal Green is becoming its own destination. Round the corner from Columbia Road and Hackney Road sits St. Peter’s Mission Hall, which is open to rent as a unique event space. It comes with a large exhibition space, three small rooms and a kitchenette at the back of the building.

A mix of born-and-bred cockneys, City workers and young creatives make up the majority of this neighbourhood. Columbia Road’s famous flower market brings swarms of Londoners and tourists to the area on Sundays, while Hackney Road's restaurants, bars and old-fashioned boozers (such as Marksman) are destinations in the evenings. The nearest station is Cambridge Heath, a seven-minute walk away.
At the top of the street on Hackney Road is Grace and Thorn (East London's favourite florist) and a slew of cafes and restaurants. Hackney City Farm is over there, too. Bethnal Green Working Men's Club (popular with the locals) is also close by.
Late night events (beyond 11pm) are discouraged.
