Meander along the buzzy streets of Bloomsbury and Holborn and you’ll get a true taste of London life. Holding its own against world-famous neighbours Oxford Circus and Soho, this area is a glimpse of intellectual London life, and around the corner from the British Museum is this shop space to let. The large, modern space also comes with a large basement with a kitchenette and plenty of space for storage.
Here you’ll find city folk rushing to meetings, performers rushing to castings and tourists rushing to the nearby museums. The area has loads of great restaurants and hotels and sees week-round visitors. The vibe will be pretty different on a Saturday evening (theatregoers and 20 somethings out for a cocktail) to Tuesday mornings (city workers) but there’s likely to be a steady flow of people Monday-Sunday. Holborn underground is a five-minute walk.
The space is between a stamp and bookshop, and nearby there are galleries and cafes in Pied Bull Court. You’ll also be just a few minutes’ walk from some of London’s most interesting museums, and you're unlikely to be short on lunch options or coffee pit stops as there are a whole host of eateries nearby.
No loud music or anything to upset neighbouring properties.
Pictures and other objects can be hung from the cords and hanging system, but otherwise, no hooks are allowed in the walls of the ground floor, though pictures can be hung in the downstairs rooms.
Window spaces can be used for display but the actual windows themselves must not be painted on or otherwise stickered.
Food can't be cooked or sold on the premises, but the selling of pre-packaged food is allowed.
Redecoration and renovation is permitted if the space is returned to its current white-walled condition.
This street is a little quiet compared to its neighbours, but it makes a great destination space in the middle of touristic London.
