Bordering the young and fashionable (and expensive) neighborhood of Williamsburg, and next door to historic Bed-Stuy, Bushwick has garnered a reputation all its own as being a destination for a flourishing creative community. On Thames Street, a short walk from the immensely popular Roberta’s, this bright and airy space for rent was previously an artist loft. The space comes with a functional photo studio and includes photography equipment.
Bushwick has become known for having a nightlife that rivals the most hedonistic of neighborhoods New York has to offer. Nearby House of Yes is a performance venue space inside an old warehouse that draws big crowds most nights. A bar, movie theater, and restaurant all rolled into one, Syndicated is a newcomer to the area but has already amassed a following that’s most popular on the weekends. The Morgan Ave L stop is two blocks away.
Located in the same building is Jai Yoga Arts, a yoga studio. Around the corner are various thrift stores including Urban Jungle and Human Relations. Down the street are a few dive bars and restaurants that are popular with the locals.
Although in a great location, this part of Thames Street can be relatively quiet but it makes a great destination space.
