Alongside a well-known collection of vintage fashion boutiques is this colourful street off Brick Lane full with independent ideas, ranging from tattoo parlours and beauty salons to vegan cheesemonger La Fauxmagerie and the capital’s only ukulele specialist, Duke of Uke. With great-looking street frontage next to jewellery designer Rachel Boston’s shop, this retail space to let also has a basement which can be used as a second showroom or for storage.

THE CROWD

Cheshire Street is at its busiest at weekends, especially on Sundays when tourists and Londoners head here from nearby Brick Lane, Redchurch Street and Boxpark for street food and shopping at the area’s many markets. Weekdays can be quiet, but Cheshire Street’s vintage shops and independents are on the map for a stylish crowd.

To one side of the shop is vintage boutique Onimos, to the other side is jewellery designer Rachel Boston’s workshop and showroom. A couple of doors down is La Fauxmagerie’s new shop after they made the move from Brixton Village; you’ll also be near barbershop Thy Barber and Cloak and Dagger tattoo parlour.
