Chiswick feels like a far cry from the streets of London – with its leafy streets and summer festivals it has more of a village feel. A commuter’s paradise with a strong community spirit, Chiswick is where affluent families like to put down roots, while young professionals love it for its buzzing pub and restaurant scene. There are plenty of media types here too, thanks to its proximity to the likes of Discovery, Disney and CBS in Chiswick Park. Devonshire Road is more of an evening drinking and dining destination, although locals do come for lunch and a browse around the shops – weekends are when the street is at its liveliest. Turnham Green station is a five-minute walk away.
