In trendy Dumbo, Anchorage Place is known as the place to go for indie shops, contemporary art galleries, and vintage boutiques. Starting in the spring through the fall, Brooklyn Flea is an open air market that runs the length of Anchorage Place that’s open every Sunday. Vendors sell everything from gourmet food to vintage jackets all underneath the picturesque archway under the Manhattan Bridge. In the midst of all this action is this former photography studio that comes with a kitchen and bathroom as well as a loft lounge area.
THE CROWD
On Sundays, tourists come to Anchorage Place to enjoy the outdoor flea market and take a stroll over to the Brooklyn Bridge Park and bask in the waterfront views. Weekdays are generally quieter with most of Dumbo consisting of young families and professionals who either commute to Manhattan for work or have jobs at one of the many tech companies that call this neighborhood home. The York Street F station is about a 5 minute walk away.
MEET THE NEIGHBOURS
Next door to you is Baci Outlet, a boutique with a selection of Italian-made clothing. Across the street is the Manhattan Bridge Archway Plaza. The Pearl Street Triangle is a small plaza offering free seating and wifi – during the warmer months it turns into a farmers market every Wednesday.

This area of Dumbo is highly trafficked, especially during the summer. There’s not much of a nightlife in this neighborhood, however, so be prepared for quiet times.
