Once a neighborhood known for its industrial grittiness, Dumbo has been remade into a residential and commercial community that’s home to upscale retailers, art galleries, and a haven for tech startups. On Jay Street, you’ll find young professionals grabbing an after-work drink at Olympia Wine Bar, or tourists browsing vintage goods and eating gourmet hot dogs at nearby Brooklyn Flea. Welcome them into this white-walled retail space for rent.
Up the street, Brooklyn Bridge Park is the go-to destination for visitors to Dumbo, especially during the warmer months. Along the picturesque promenade are Jane’s Carousel, a restored amusement park ride that’s popular for families, and St. Ann’s Warehouse, a spacious theater hosting avant-garde performances. The area also has quaint independent shops like Berl’s Brooklyn Poetry Shop and Two Kids and a Dog, a children’s clothing and toy store. One block up is the York Street F train.
Next door is a clothing store for babies and toddlers and on the other side of you is a cafe. Across the street is a bicycle shop and down the road is Brooklyn Roasting Company, an eco-friendly cafe that caters to freelancers and creatives.
The space is fairly barebones, be sure to make yourself stand out.
