Michelin-starred restaurants, critically-acclaimed bars and some of the best tattoo shops in the city – Greenpoint has come a long way. But it’s not all microbreweries and facial hair, Greenpoint has some of the most impressive warehouses and waterfront views this side of the East River. Located on West Street, this old-school warehouse (formerly a rope factory) makes for a great event space.
Many young professionals and creatives have moved to the neighborhood to escape Williamsburg’s increasing rents. Bars and restaurants followed suit, catering to the younger crowd. Around the corner, Paulie Gee’s is a popular spot serving gourmet pizzas. The Brooklyn Expo Center is host to large events and festivals that draws big crowds and Broken Land is a rustic-chic bar that’s known for their cocktails. The closest subway stop is the Greenpoint Avenue G, a five-minute walk away.
This space is next door to an embroidery shop and Greenpoint Terminal Gallery. Directly behind is the Brooklyn Barge, a waterfront bar and restaurant with amazing views of Manhattan. Over on Greenpoint Avenue is Brooklyn Bazaar: a popular flea market, restaurant and club all in one.
This part of West Street doesn't get as busy as surrounding streets, but this space works well as a destination.
