Just when you thought Hackney couldn’t get any hipper, along comes Mare Street Market. A self-styled “boutique shopping mall", it's home to a florist, coffee roaster, deli, bakery, bar, record store and restaurant. This self-contained glass box pop-up shop will put you right in the middle, and has windows facing right out onto Mare Street, too. The Landlord is looking for retail concepts, ideally independent, lifestyle brands.
THE CROWD
With the likes of Netil 360 and Wringer + Mangle nearby, you’re in a pretty cool enclave within one of London’s most happening neighbourhoods, so expect young, creative, cosmopolitan types. Broadway Market (five minutes’ walk away), London Fields and Netil Market’s street food and vintage stalls keep the area lively on weekends, especially Saturdays. Mare Street Market itself stays open from 8am to 11:30pm most days, and is liveliest in the evenings and weekends.

You’ll be next to Hackney’s own Rebel Rebel, Time Out London’s Best Florist 2017, and just around the corner from Stranger Than Paradise, a neon-lit vinyl store run by the ex-manager of Rough Trade East. Food and drink traders include local businesses Flying Horse Coffee, East London Liquor Company, Bread Station and Hackney Gelato.

You need to be open daily, however the Landlord is flexible with the timings.
As a working restaurant, brands are unable to bring in their own food and drink to the space, however there is a 40% discount at the deli and restaurant for staff food and refreshments whilst manning your Pop Up.
