Despite the neighbouring villages of Maida Vale and Hampstead, Kilburn is a bit more affordable and low-key. Along Kilburn High Road, there's car boot sales, cheap drinks and a mix of cuisines in the many restaurants. This long, white showroom space in the Kilburn Plaza has good lighting and multiple power points.

THE CROWD

There are usually dressed down local families on their regular weekly shops throughout the day. In the evenings, there are more young professionals in the area dining out or heading to the vibrant Tricycle theatre and cinema (four-minute walk away).

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS

You’re in between Zeytoona Gardens Lebanese restaurant and Ladbrokes. There’s a unisex hair salon opposite. And there’s more independent bars and restaurants a few doors down, including Spicy Basil for pad thai and Paradise Parlour for decent pudding and ice cream.
