In contrast to the busy bars of Dalston Junction, the Haggerston end of the Kingsland Road is known for it’s relaxed canal-side cafes and creative studios. Close to the canal, independent coffee shop Curio Cabal has a dedicated local following for mid-week drinks and weekend terrace brunches, and is now available to rent out entirely for a pop-event or event.

Mixing agencies and studios with residential blocks, the area is full of young creative professionals heading out for lunch or an after-work drink during the week. On weekends, you’ll find locals drinking and dining all along the Kingsland Road. Haggerston station is a short walk away.

Photography studio Street Studios is across the road, and events venue The Hive and The Coffee Shop cafe can be found on either side. Behind the space, there’s Berber & Q for smoking dishes, Tonkotsu East for cheap and cheerful Japanese food, and Draughts board game cafe.
