The Lower East Side has earned a reputation for having some of the best nightlife in NYC. The abundance of iconic music venues, dive bars that stay open all night, and trendy restaurants attracts a young and fashionable crowd. On Stanton Street, the sidewalks are packed every weekend with revelers in search of the next cool bar or restaurant – it’s also the home of this spacious retail shop for rent that was once a photography studio.

THE CROWD

This part of the Lower East Side trends younger with fashion-forward partygoers drawn to all of the bars, restaurants, and event spaces in the area. A couple of blocks down the street, Pianos is a popular weekend destination for tourists looking for drinks and live music. It’s not all drinking and partying, however, the Lower East Side is also for know for its indie boutiques and discount shops. Around the corner, Orchard Street is closed every Sunday afternoon and local shops set up tables and sell items to passersby. The Essex St station and 2nd Ave station are both a short walk away.

Your neighbors are a lively bunch – Pizza Beach is next door, a laid-back restaurant popular with the post-college crowd. Across the street is The Meatball Shop – a favorite with locals and visitors. Just up the street is the century-old Lower East Side institutions, Russ and Daughters and Katz’s Deli.
