The Upper East Side is home to plenty of iconic places from Barney's to French hot-spot Daniel. And right in the middle of this neighborhood is another vaunted locale: The Carlyle Hotel. Once an apartment building where JFK had a pied de terre, it's now a luxury hotel where tens of thousands of tourists stay each year.
Right around the corner from that landmark on Madison Avenue is this ground-floor retail space that is certain to catch the eye of anyone walking by with its large window. The hardwood floor of the entry goes down one step into the spacious main sales area with a patterned tile. In the rear of the store, there's an office/ storage space.
Buses, the new Second Avenue subway line, and the 6 train make this part of town easy to get to.
