Marlow's high street is quintessentially British. There's something about it's pretty, historic streets and Thames boat clubs which make it the ultimate ex-Londoner's honey pot. The high street has a buzz about it, and this shop to let sits smack bang in the middle. It's an ex Fat Face store, so it's well-lit and well-fitted.
THE CROWD
Marlow is full of people who were sick of the hustle and bustle of the big smoke and wanted a better work life balance. They're still professionals: the average age here is 37, and everyone has a shared love for champagne, investing in property and splashing their cash. The footfall is steady during the week; plenty of young mums who are off to brunch will be passing by. Saturdays are the busiest, so make sure you open up shop then.
There's one or two trains an hour to London Paddington and hourly trains to Reading. Drive 15 minutes down the road to High Wycombe and there'll be lots more rail options.
MEET THE NEIGHBOURS
The high street is a mix of exclusive high end boutiques and younger concept stores with Sofa.com and London's prestigious Ivy restaurant nearby. The local optician sits right next door is, whilst Barker's of Marlow, a great little gastro pub, sits opposite.

Although close to London, you don't get the benefits which come with being in the middle of the capital. It doesn't mean you won't attract the right types of attention, though.
