The Lower East Side has streets full of galleries, restaurants like Dirt Candy, and one-of- a-kind shops like the Chop Suey Club. And in the center of it all is Hester Street - a busy thoroughfare with lots of foot traffic.
Just a quick walk up from Hester via bright blue steps on the second floor of an early-1900s building is this unique and highly Instagramable space. Formerly a co-working space where the neighborhood's creative class gathered to work on their latest start-up or freelance project, this charming apartment-style spot has gorgeous whitewashed walls and floor and a big window that together give the space an airy and sunny vibe. The space is well appointed with a long natural wood table, hipster-favorited Edison bulbs, and there's even a kitchen off of the main area. It would be the perfect retail shop, gallery, or space for a small event.
Serving as the nexus between Downtown Manhattan and uber-hip Williamsburg, the Lower East Side is easy to get to via a 5-minute walk to trains and buses or by bike over the Williamsburg Bridge.
Although this space is aesthetically pleasing, it may be too small for some brands.
