Any private members club based in a crypt is sure to be a little quirky. And Vout-O-Reenees in Tower Hill is just as charmingly surreal as you might expect. Inspired by the 1930s and featuring trompe l’oeil furnishings and effects, it’s a striking place to enjoy a cocktail and catch some music. Or even launch your big event idea.

Walking down the iron staircase and into the club, you’ll find a large hallway entrance with a main floorspace to the right. There’s plenty of seating, a bar area, a piano and a DJ booth plus a separate cloakroom. Through a second room you’ll make your way towards an outdoor seating area. The décor throughout is playful, intriguing and sure to get all your guests talking.

Tower Gateway station is a two-minute walk from here, and Tower Hill is just over five minutes away. You’ll be within walking distance of the City and the East End, hidden in plain sight within this busy corner of the capital.
