The trading space will be located in the beautiful courtyard of this popular bar and restaurant. Power, water, and refrigerators are available. The courtyard also offers outdoor seating for diners, and is hugely popular at lunchtime and on weekend evenings.
Located on Curtain Road close to cool restaurants such as Blues Kitchen and The Book Club as well as the chic Ace Hotel, The Strongroom Bar & Kitchen has been a central Shoreditch stalwart for nearly two decades. They’ve developed a loyal following over the years, and have recently become known for their rotating street food residencies.
Looking principally for lunch time traders 11am-4pm Mon-Sun, but will consider weekend evenings for the right trader
Thursdays: 12pm - 10pm (access is possible from 8am)
Fridays: 12pm - 10pm (access is possible from 8am)
Saturdays: 12pm - 10pm (access possible from 10am)
Sundays: 12pm - 10pm (access possible from 10am)
Operator agrees to be allowed to supply its own kitchen equipment [Monday to Sunday] from the date hereof and to carry out this operation in a first class professional manner complying with all instructions given by Strongroom Bar and Kitchen ("SBK").
Operator will (without limiting the foregoing) take all steps to ensure full compliance with SBK’s insurance policies and will not do anything to put those policies at risk.
Operator agrees that it’s right to supply its own equipment shall not in any circumstances vest any rights of occupation of any part of property owned or controlled by SBK and that forthwith on termination of this agreement Operator will immediately vacate and remove all of its possessions.
Operator will at all time ensure that its equipment is adequately staffed by its highly qualified and certificated staff. Operator will be liable for all kitchen staffing costs and management for the duration of the agreement. All Operator employees will be legally entitled to work in the UK and are responsible for their own insurance save that Operator will be primarily liable for all actions of said employees. All kitchen staff will have Level 2 Food Safety Training.
The Operator shall be entitled to keep all income generated from the operation.
SBK will provide all relevant sales data from the venue’s EPOS system as reasonably and properly required by Operator. It is agreed that any discounts to generate trade will be mutually agreed between the parties.
In the event that the Operator is using SBK’s kitchen then SBK will maintain all existing kitchen equipment as per the attached inventory unless damage has been caused by misuse from Operator who agree to look after all such inventory so as not to cause any damage and to replace any part of the inventory that they do damage forthwith.
In the event that the Operator provides its own kitchen it will ensure that all equipment is in good working order and will indemnify SBK against all costs claims or demands howsoever arising from the Operator’s kitchen equipment or staff. Operator will indemnify SBK against all claims and demands and all costs associated with any claim arising from the food cooked and supplied by Operator.
Operator will be liable for all kitchen ingredients and consumables for the duration of the agreement and will ensure that only in date and fresh ingredients are used. Full public liability insurance in the sum of at least £5 million will be maintained by Operator and SBK will be noted as an interested party on that policy.
Operator will register with the Local Authority as a food business and provide HACCP details to SBK prior to commencing the start of the agreement.
Operator will be responsible for the ongoing cleaning & Health and Safety management of the kitchen. SBK will ensure all safety equipment is available and working.
Operator consents to daily inspection of the kitchen by SBK to ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are met, and to take any remedial action as agreed thereafter.
Operator shall clean the kitchen at the end of this agreement and the clean has to be signed off by representative of SBK to be an adequate clean. SBK reserves right to deduct £250 from final payment if kitchen cleanliness does not meet its required standard.
Kitchen opening hours are to be agreed by SBK
At least one representative from Operator will attend a weekly management meeting to discuss outstanding issues, discuss bookings etc. Further for the first four weeks directors of Operator will be on site at SBK full time to ensure the kitchen is running smoothly.
Either party shall be entitled to give immediate notice to terminate (without prejudice to all other rights) in the event that the other breaches any provision of this agreement
