Central Street in creative Clerkenwell, with its ad agencies and thriving pub scene, connects Angel to Old Street. Among working offices, there’s a mish-mash of local shops, bars as well as a cookery school. Formerly The Alchemist tea and coffee house, this retail space for rent has two main areas, and can be used to serve food and drink, too.

THE CROWD

This area is at its busiest on weeknights. Groups of young creative professionals working in the offices nearby head out into the night looking for great food, drink and a chance to relax after hours.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS

A mix of independent pubs and restaurants are dotted around, like Palatino, The Bar and Fish Central. Next door, there's a betting office and an off-licence. Two doors down is Rusty Flowers, a local flower shop, and The Corner Bar for low-key pub drinks.

Trading is allowed from Monday to Saturday only. No trading is permitted on Sundays.

Trading is allowed from Monday to Saturday only. The space cannot currently be open to the public on Sundays. Private functions, however, can take place on a Sunday. If Sunday trading is a must then it is possible to apply for a Temporary Events Notice to the Council for Sunday trading.

Alcohol sale is not currently permitted.

Tenant will be responsible for any bar + kitchen equipment damage/breakages/repairs.

Bon à savoir

The Alchemist's furniture and decor is still present, but you're more than welcome to change it up and make the space your own.

It's not the most happening of streets, but it's centrally located and gives you easy access to both Angel and Old Street.

It's located in a pedestrianised square off Central Street, but you'll have no problem attracting shoppers with your brightly coloured storefront.
