Lined with indie boutiques, designer homeware stores and destination bars and eateries, this stretch of Upper Street has a more village-like vibe than the hectic Angel end of the road. The sister store to the furniture-focused Aria opposite, Aria One Six Eight sells a well-curated collection of menswear, womenswear and accessories, and has a small basement showroom ready for cool retail ideas to set up shop and join them.
This corner of North London is especially popular with affluent families and professional couples, although it’s still home to some older, artier inhabitants too. During the week, it’s a largely local crowd that comes here, although you’ll see some workers from nearby offices taking a break come lunchtime. Weekends see a fair few tourists joining the locals grabbing brunch and browsing the shops, or treating themselves to lunch from Ottolenghi. Highbury & Islington tube is a seven-minute walk.
Your Upper Street neighbour will be Llerena, a lovely tapas restaurant, and you’ll be opposite two well-established furniture stores: twentytwentyone on Upper Street, and Aria on Barnsbury Street.

Minimum let is 14 days, and there’s no maximum for now.
