Taking its name from neighbouring Victoria Park, also known as the People’s Park, this lovely pub is known for its community spirit, microbrewery and massive hacienda-style garden – one of its biggest draws. And in its garden is a huge marquee that's available to rent for pop-up F&B concepts – a great place to introduce your foodie idea to Hackney's young, open-minded crowd. THE CROWD

On weekdays, dog walkers and visitors to Victoria Park will call in for a drink, while the pub’s programme of events, from life drawing to comedy nights, draw a diverse crowd of locals in the evenings. However, as with pretty much any pub, it’s weekends that are the busiest. Affluent local families will come here for lunch during the day, and a younger, going out crowd will keep things lively until late. The nearest station is Homerton, a 10-minute walk.
