Named after an ancient entrance to the city, Oxford’s recently revamped shopping centre is now a gateway to big-name brands, flagship stores and food, thanks to its rooftop restaurants and hip street food market, Westgate Social. Home to a line-up of permanent traders, including Benito’s Hat and Tommi’s Burger Joint, plus a Junkyard Golf Club, this leisure and dining hub under the shopping centre is boosted by a changing parade of pop-ups, which you can join by bringing your F&B idea to a kiosk here.
Since reopening in 2017, Westgate’s blend of high street and high-end names, boutique cinema and cool eateries and bars have been a big draw for locals, tourists and students, attracting up to 20 million visitors per year. Lunchtimes, especially at weekends, are the busiest times here, although people stop by for food, drinks and crazy golf in the evenings, too. Oxford station is a 15-minute walk away.
You’ll be sharing the market with Ned’s Noodle Bar, Tex-Mex chain Benito’s Hat, beer and burger joint Tommi’s, and Junkyard Golf.
Westgate has 100 shops, including a flagship John Lewis, a five-screen boutique cinema, crazy golf course, and 25 eateries and bars across 800,000 sq. ft.
Annual footfall of up to 20 million.
Pricing is exclusive of business rates and subject to contract.
Westgate Social can be quiet at times - you’ll need to let people know that you’re here.
