THE CROWD

There’s a strong community vibe here – the largely arty crowd that lives here like to eat, drink and shop local. On weekdays you’ll see self-employed locals sipping flat whites while they work in Small White Elephant, an independent coffeeshop a couple of doors down, or getting a haircut at Cut-Throat. Towards the weekend, Miss Tapas and West African restaurant Lolak Afrique get busy in the evenings. Weekends will be when you see the most people, as locals come out in force for food and a stroll around Bellenden Road’s shops. You can walk to Peckham Rye station in 2 to 3 minutes.
