This east London suburb has much more going on than pie and mash shops and Europe’s longest street market. Neon wonderland God’s Own Junkyard sits on an industrial estate, or if you prefer things a little prettier, there’s the lovely Walthamstow Village with its artisanal shops. Walthamstow Central is a 12-minute walk away.
