The charming neighborhood of Cobble Hill in the heart of Brooklyn is like a small town within the big city. Here young professionals mingle with families that have been here for generations. There’s always lots of foot traffic on the tree-lined street from people taking in the views of the area’s Romanesque architecture or browsing the many independently owned stores that Cobble Hill is known for.
On the ground floor of a residential walk-up building is this intimate boutique space with some surprising features, including outdoor space and a kitchen. Typical old-school BK features abound, with exposed-brick walls, dark hardwood floors, and a pressed-tin ceiling that adds a lot of character. These elements are all brought together with the funky lighting fixtures that run the length of the space. The layout is completely customizable as the display shelving and tables are modular.
This stretch of Smith Street is popular with locals who hang out at the nearby Zombie Hut for a Tiki-style drink and the classic Italian-social- club-turned- cocktail bar Brooklyn Social. There’s also easy access to transportation with the F and G trains two minutes away on Carroll Street.
Brands will have full use of the retail space at the front of the shop but the owner will continue to work from a small office at the back. The office and retail space are partitioned.
