Every Sunday, the world-famous Petticoat Lane Market on Wentworth Street attracts tourists and Londoners in droves. It's a popular home to Indian and West African textile merchants. On a corner close to Commercial Street's hotspots, including The Culpeper gastropub and Som Saa, is this large, glass-fronted shop to let.
THE CROWD
On Sundays, Petticoat Lane Market’s clothing, fabric and bric-a-brac stalls attract flocks of tourists and locals, but there’s a busy market on Wentworth Street Monday through Friday, too. Weekdays see students heading to the London Metropolitan University’s art and design school over the road. Hungry Donkey Greek Kitchen and Chicago Rib Shack attract a hip crowd in the evenings and at lunchtimes. Aldgate East station is a couple of minutes’ walk away.
